Elegant renovation and first floor extension to maximise view.
Tomas and Rebecca reached out to BCT Group wanting to create more space in their family home. With a few specific design preferences including a rear open plan living space and an upstairs parent’s retreat, they engaged the one-stop solution of BCT Group to design and build a renovation and first floor extension.
When working with Tomas and Rebecca to create the space, the BCT Group Design Team wanted to maximise the liveability, natural light and views which are provided by the neighbouring Newport Lakes Recreation Reserve.
Downstairs, we maintained the 2 existing bedrooms, repositioned the study, transformed the previous kitchen into a bathroom and created a new laundry. The focal point of the new home is the extension at the rear which includes a spacious kitchen, living and dining area and is connected with the outdoor alfresco area. Upstairs we finished the project with a stunning master suite with views into Newport Lakes.
The finished product is full of character with oak timber flooring, period style skirting and natural stone throughout. It was great to be able to design and build Tomas and Rebecca’s new family home.
