Stunning renovation and first-floor extension at home with heritage overlay.
Karen and Steven contacted BCT Group looking to freshen up their existing Kensington home and complete a first-floor extension to add additional living space for their family.
With a heritage overlay attached to the property, the BCT Group Design Team maintained the overall facade of the double fronted Victorian and delivered a gorgeous, finished home.
To better utilise the space in the existing bathroom, we separated the space into a bathroom and laundry. At the rear of the home, we designed and built a new open-plan kitchen, living and dining area which is connected with the north facing backyard through large bi-fold doors creating a strong indoor-outdoor flow. To complete the ground floor, we upgraded the decking area to add another entertaining space for the family.
As part of the first-floor extension we added a spacious master suite, featuring a large walk-in robe and stunning ensuite which is finished with glossy green tiles and a chunky stone benchtop. The new first-floor is completed with a large study area with views of the leafy backyard and large tree.
It was great to be able to produce another gorgeous project within Kensington for Karen, Steven and their family.
