Having lived in their home since it was built in 2001, Andrew loved the Victorian‑inspired architecture and character of the property but felt it was time to refresh and modernise the key living spaces. He engaged BCT Group to renovate the kitchen, laundry, powder room and upstairs bathrooms, while also addressing a range of important maintenance upgrades throughout the home.

Our team began by updating the existing structure, including replacing several upstairs windows, repairing water‑damaged areas, and sanding and resealing the floorboards and timber staircase to restore warmth and longevity. Additional improvements included new caulking, updated floor transitions and the option to replace tiling in high‑use zones. 

​

A major focus of the project was the upstairs bathrooms, where the generous ensuite was redesigned to feature double basins, a freestanding bath, an enclosed shower with a nib wall and full‑height tiling. Both bathrooms received modern lighting, LED strip accents and the option for recessed or stone shower bases for a premium finish. 

​

In the kitchen and family area, we reimagined the existing G‑shaped layout with brighter cabinetry, a stone benchtop with a waterfall edge, improved storage and upgraded appliances. The design incorporated a larger fridge cavity, built‑in oven with induction cooktop.

This project delivered a refined, modernised interior while preserving the charm of the original architecture. It was a pleasure working with Andrew to elevate the home’s functionality, comfort and overall aesthetic.
