Yarraville 

Our 2/5 Yarraville clients engaged BCT Group to design and build the second residence within their dual-occupancy development, with a focus on creating a modern, low-maintenance home that would deliver both functionality and long-term appeal, as they head into retirement . Their brief called for a practical yet stylish residence that maximised the site's potential while providing comfortable, contemporary living spaces suited to a range of lifestyles.

As the second home within the subdivision, careful consideration was given to privacy, street presence and efficient use of space. The design centred around an open-plan kitchen, living and dining area, creating a welcoming hub for everyday living and entertaining. Large openings to the outdoor areas help draw in natural light while strengthening the connection between indoor and outdoor spaces.

The home was designed to accommodate  three bedrooms, including a well-appointed master suite complete with a private ensuite. A downstairs powder room adds convenience for guests and daily living, while a dedicated laundry provides practical functionality without compromising valuable living space. 

Reflecting the clients' preference for a bold and contemporary aesthetic, the home incorporates darker material selections and feature finishes throughout, creating a sophisticated architectural character. These elements are balanced with clean lines and durable, low-maintenance materials to ensure the home remains both stylish and easy to maintain for years to come.
