Joanna and Will contemplated selling their Yarraville home but couldn’t find a house nearby that met their needs and budget. They love loving in the inner west so decided to bite the bullet and renovate.
Joanna and Will worked with our talented design team to create home that was spacious, functional and modern. The original home was very compact comprising of two bedrooms, one bathroom, separate meals and living areas, a compact kitchen and laundry out the back. We transformed it into a spacious and modern four-bedroom home.
An ensuite and walk-in robe was added off the Master. In addition to two more bedrooms, we created a central family bathroom, powder room and separate laundry. A large open-plan dining, living and kitchen area was added to the rear of the home with ample windows and sliding doors to maximise the natural light.
Once the design was signed off, our interior designer helped select the ideal fixtures and fittings. Standouts include the engineered oak flooring, coral pink tiles in the kitchen and bathroom, and the gas fireplace to warm the living room in the cooler months.
Joanna is thrilled with their ‘new’ place and says, “I can finally breathe. The worry and wonder of what our next step might be – renovate or sell – was a bigger weight on my shoulders than I realised. I can relax now that it’s done. Our family has the space we need and we’re really enjoying the various zones within the house. There are so many things we love from the floorplan to every last detail.
